Kuwait Finances Holguin Water Works
Representatives from Cuba and the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development signed an accord on Nov. 21 for a joint project to rehabilitate Holguín’s municipal aqueduct.
The $15.2 million package will be used to set up main and secondary water lines and pumping stations; repair three waterworks plants and build a new one, and purchase water tanks for the city.
Ghanem Sulaiman al-Ghenaiman, deputy director-general of KFAED, said his institution is ready to contribute with other infrastructure projects throughout Cuba.
